Kartboy shifter + front bushings
Just to let you all know it was probably the best spent $120 ever.Only took like 30 mins to install and the shifting is so clean and accurate. Also ordered a new set of tires. Can't wait for the next autocross.

lol it cost's like $50 to register, maybe next payday.
Just a warning to you guys.
Got my tires mounted today at LA tires and got overcharged. They even had the balls to take my car for a 'test drive' by the stores owner. My clutch was heat soaked pretty bad.
But never again will I ever go there again.

Re: Kartboy shifter + front bushings
I could imagine what they were thinking that it's a Subie. I would go to Proline for any tire work or the Tirerack.
AK has good techs and equipment but they do not accept outside work

Pat, glad your slowly getting your car some new parts & treads but I also feel for you on the "test-drive" matter Thanks for telling us; I've actually never heard of LA Tires...where abouts do they conduct the monkey business ?

IF I were to take my car anywhere to get tires <most especially specialty tires> mounted and balanced because I had absolutely NO choice it would have to be ProLine with explicit instructions. I would rather do my own tires, that's all.
Thanks for the compliments Jay...sorry we don't do outside work

Re: Kartboy shifter + front bushings
I was looking into this shifter too, stock is just too long for me, I want a shorter throw. Install looks simple using basic tools.

Re: Kartboy shifter + front bushings
Here is a link to installing the Perrin Short shift kit and seems very simple and easy to install. They did not say if this works on the STI.
