any suggestion on what tire to buy here in the island? proline or pacific tires? thanks

Proline will probably give you some Nankangs, majority of the street tires on bigger wheels are Nankang.

nankang? is this a brand name? looking for tires which i can use to autox and for daily driving.

Well I bought 17s from proline and the tire that it came with is Nankang, Dennis's rims has nankangs, and Kevin's rims also has nankangs. The tires is great for cruising but autocrossing not really. I've ran mine in two races during the summer series and notice that the tire was wearing out fast, so i put my stock Enkeis for the last race, it didn't have that much wear on the side. If you plan on doing autocross you should stick with your stocks and speak with more of the guys and talk about your rims (weight, hub centric, tires etc.....) Their information on these type of stuff may come useful to you in the long run, or you can refer your self to August 16th Subie meet thread where Jesse gave information about autocrossing.
