What MPG is everyone getting?
Just curious what everyone is getting for MPG in their cars. I am getting 18MPG consistently. Is it me or is it too high?
I usually shift at 3K rpms.
I think 18 is high for a stock 07 STI.
Thirsty Subaru!!!

Re: What MPG is everyone getting?
I was somewhere around 13mpg but its not like I was trying to get good mpg. The worse I have ever gotten in it was 9mpg on a speed run on I40 in Arkansas and the best was about 23mpg with setting the cruise at about 70-75mph

Re: What MPG is everyone getting?
Only 3k miles on the clock and I see about 19mpg. Best I've had trying to get better fuel economy was about 24mpg only for a millisec
Its hard to stay out of boost and not enjoy the drive. Oh well, I figure my hybrid gets 42+mpg so I'm averaging about 30mpg with my two cars....I guess that's better than Rudy's 17.5mpg (Frontier and STi) Oh well, as long as I'm only paying <$120.00 a month in gas for two cars I think I'm alright
I think that's pretty good mileage for a pick-up though....std?

Re: What MPG is everyone getting?
with the access port perrin actually has a map that would increase MPG...
here is the copy from the website:"Economy mode requiring minimum 91 octane fuel. Low boost and increased ignition timing for optimal fuel savings. Not a performance map and not recommended for aggressive driving."
so the access port is not only for performance...
i have also noticed that when using cruise control i end up filling up less...

Re: What MPG is everyone getting?
I've been getting around 25-27 mpgs for the last 5 fill ups.
Not bad for 80% city driving

Rudy, I can say this much. Since my retune/reflash with the AP I did gain about 3mpg since then without changing driving habits and adding power parts flowing more air through the engine so that's pretty significant.
I do know this; in the recent past our cars were exempt from IM240 and smog because of the drivetrain layout <full-time-awd> which could not be disabled for a 2-wheel dyno for example. I think a visual inspection was performed and monitors checked for completion. What this meant is that Subaru has a bye and basically made their cars with a generally "rich" tune for several reasons but in any case caused such low observed mpg ratings.
